A project for draining and treating waste water in the area of the Ljubljana Field aquifer will increase the treatment capacity of the Ljubljana Central Waste-Water Treatment Plant and upgrade it with tertiary treatment.

The Ljubljana Central Waste-Water Treatment Plant is a single-stage mechanical biological treatment plant intended for removing undissolved substances and carbon compounds as well as nitrification. It treats 85% of all waste water draining into the public sewage system in the narrower Ljubljana area.

THE CAPACITY OF THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT WILL BE INCREASED FROM THE CURRENT 360,000 PE TO 555,000 PE.
