ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM MANAGED BY DRSI

Road infrastructure ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM MANAGED BY DRSI

As part of the pavement management project managed by DRSI, DRI collects, processes, and analyses data on the condition of road infrastructure and develops and maintains an expert system for road management in the dTIMS software tool. Based on data on the characteristics and condition of the infrastructure, it predicts the future condition of the network in relation to available resources and proposes optimal renovation measures.

The data is transmitted and interpreted for the purposes of road management and planning, for example for optimal resurfacing planning. With the help of the road management system, simulations of the future state of the network can be prepared based on various investment scenarios.

THE IMPACT OF A HEAVY GOODS VEHICLE ON THE ROAD IS 40,000 TIMES GREATER THAN THAT OF A PASSENGER CAR. THIS MEANS THAT ONE HEAVY GOODS VEHICLE ON THE ROAD CAUSES DAMAGE THAT WOULD OTHERWISE BE CAUSED BY 40,000 PASSENGER CARS.
