RECONSTRUCTION OF THE ŽAGA–KOBARID REGIONAL ROAD
As part of the reconstruction of the 620 m section of the national road, a new bridge was built, the banks were landscaped, a rockfall protection was installed and a new access path to Tonovc Castle was built.
It also included drainage improvements, the laying of a new asphalt surface, the installation of horizontal and vertical traffic signs, and traffic equipment.
THE LAST SECTION WITHIN THE ŽAGA–KOBARID
ROAD RECONSTRUCTION WAS THE MOST CHALLENGING FROM A CONSTRUCTION POINT OF VIEW, DUE TO GEOLOGICAL, GEOMECHANICAL, AND SPATIAL CONDITIONS.
