On Friday, 15 May, DRI concluded two new contracts with Slovenian Water Agency related to the project of flood protection regulation of the Gradaščica river basin - for Stages 1A and 2.

Stage 1A comprises the City of Ljubljana, where arrangements will be carried out in the area of Kozarje, with the riverbeds of Mali Graben and Gradaščica arranged and a new overflow basin built. Stage 2 includes measures in the municipality of Dobrova - Polhov Gradec, the construction of Razori containment pool and the arrangement of the Gradaščica, Horjulka and Ostrožnik riverbeds.

The first contract (Lot 1), in which DRI acts independently, includes the provision of consulting and engineering services in Stages 1A and 2. It mainly includes tasks related to obtaining an environmental consent and a building permit, the amendment of investment documentation and applications for European funds, the production of design and tender documentation.

The second contract (Lot 2) was concluded in joint venture with Project d. d. Nova Gorica, in which DRI acts as the leading partner. It includes the implementation of engineering services (FIDIC - Yellow Book) and construction supervision at Stage 1A.

Already in March last year DRI started activities on the project of flood protection regulation of the Gradaščica river basin. It cooperated with the Slovenian Water Agency (as the leading partner in a joint venture with the companies Projekt d. d. Nova Gorica and Luz d. d.) and concluded a contract for the engineering services at stage 1B, which also includes water management arrangements in the municipality of Dobrova - Polhov Gradec.
