COMPREHENSIVE RENOVATION OF THE UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTRE LJUBLJANA
The comprehensive renovation of the main hospital building of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana includes extensive energy-efficiency refurbishment of the building as well as a complete revitalisation of its interior spaces. The building, constructed in 1975, urgently requires modernisation due to its deterioration.
As part of the comprehensive energy-efficiency refurbishment, the building’s windows and doors will be replaced, the façade and the flat roof will be renovated, and a modern ventilation system will be installed in patient rooms. All elevators will be completely replaced, and the fire safety and seismic resistance systems will undergo a comprehensive upgrade.
The revitalisation also includes the renovation of all interior spaces, the upgrade of sanitary facilities, and the conversion of the ninth floor into modern on-call and office premises. The project will contribute to improved working conditions for staff and a higher level of comfort for patients.
AFTER THE ENERGY-EFFICIENCY REFURBISHMENT,
DISTRICT HEATING CONSUMPTION WILL BE REDUCED BY 50% AND ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION BY 20%.
