Pavement management system
DRI, as part of the project for the pavement management system PMS-DRSI, manages and updates an expert system that will, based on the data on the condition of the pavements, traffic load, road decay models and the prices of the reconstruction measures, enable more optimal preparation of the plan for reconstructions and simulation of the future and past condition of the network, depending on the available/envisaged means for their maintenance.
On average, the sections of the Ljubljana bypass with largest traffic load transport more than 70,000 vehicles per day, and during the morning and afternoon peaks, the number already exceeds its capacity, which is ca. 4,000 vehicles per hour.
The section with the largest traffic load in Slovenia is the Ljubljana bypass.
