Development of a pavement management system
DRI, as part of the project for the development of the pavement management system PMS-DRSI, is developing an expert system that will, based on the data on the condition of the pavements, traffic load, road decay models and the prices of the reconstruction measures, enable optimal preparation of the plan for reconstructions and simulation of the future condition of the network, depending on the available/envisaged means for their maintenance.
The roads with the least traffic load are specifically the regional roads of the third class and so-called tourist roads, where on average we record from five to several hundred vehicles per day.
The pavement management system will enable the optimal preparation of plans for the reconstruction of the 6,000 km long national road network.
